It is great that Google can as well punish spammers, but I am wondering if Google will do the similar if I report about GoDaddy or Bravenet daily spam emails which offer bunch new services, updates. Certainly they never send offers to swap links, however they are way more annoying with their emails even after you click “unsubscribe” button hundred times.
In addition you can find more stuff about Google in the course of Matt post. As we see Google can penalize your site if you:
- Spam via e-mail (paragraph 5)
- Bad content (paragraph 4)
- Large amount of outgoing links (paragraph 6)
- linking bad / spam websites (paragraph 7)
